It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful departure of Mr. John Mercer. Born in 1954 and passing on the 27th of February, 2026, John's kind and caring spirit will be deeply missed within our community. was an extraordinary family man, who invested love, time, and energy into his relationships. He is survived by his devoted wife Debra Mercer, and their loving sons Justin and Cody Mercer. Preceded in death by his sister, Sandra Reed, John was a testament to the resilience of the human spirit.

His passion for life was insatiable. A food enthusiast, John had an unwavering love for BBQ and seafood. His presence at family cookouts will be sorely missed. His active participation in sports reflected not only his competitive spirit but also his unwavering support for his favorite teams, including Avalanche, CU Buffs, and the Rockies.

Outside of his active lifestyle, John's hobbies created a harmony that balanced his life. His quiet mornings embarking on fishing trips are cherished memories for those who had the pleasure of accompanying him. His favorite vacation spot, Estes Park in Colorado, was a testament to his love for nature and tranquil surroundings. The memories created in these spaces will be held dearly by his family.

John was also deeply passionate about several causes, notably the ASPCA. His empathy for others, including our four-legged companions, further emphasized his compassionate character. John's world was always painted in his favorite color, blue, which significantly mirrored his personality: calming, trustworthy, and stable.

Remembered for his openheartedness and easygoing nature, John was always easy to talk to. His passion for sports translated into his ability to share an immense amount of sports facts, a testament to his continuous desire to learn and share knowledge with others.

John’s warmth, kindness, and incredible spirit will forever remain in our hearts. His legacy will undoubtedly live on through the valuable lessons he shared and the immense love he had for his family.
