Obituary

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of John Douglas McLeod of Bracebridge. Dad to Joe and David (Steph), granddad to Shannia, Sami, Sophia and Nora. Great Granddad to Sami’s 2 girls. Brother to Sue Johnson (Wayne), Cindy Waters (Dan), Chris, Jeff (Peggy) and uncle and great uncle to their children / grandchildren.

John Douglas McLeod was named after his grandfather and father who were carpenters. John was incredibly smart and he had many talents. He was a musician (self taught guitar player) with a golden voice, a civil engineer, a pilot, a carpenter, a heavy equipment operator and more.

John believed in lifelong learning. He loved to read both fiction and non-fiction. He was sentimental and had a big heart disguised in a tough exterior. He loved good food and good company. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
