John's obituary
John is survived by his son, Sean Luttrell, who currently resides in California and was an important part of his life.
John had many hobbies and was very crafty. He enjoyed making leather wallets and gun holsters. He was a collector of anything Star Wars, which was his favorite movies. He loved to frequent the annual Renaissance festivals, where he would dress as a knight in the costume he created. He was a problem solver who often took on difficult and unwanted tasks at work and most likely around his house. He would entertain everyone with all his stories from his past and he will be deeply missed by his friends, family, coworkers, and all who knew him.
A memorial service is yet to be determined.
He wanted the following poem posted in the event of his death:
Remembered Joy
Don’t grieve for me, for now I’m free!
I follow the plan God laid for me.
I saw His face, I heard His call,
I took His hand and left it all...
I could not stay another day,
To love, to laugh, to work or play;
Tasks left undone must stay that way.
And if my parting has left a void,
Then fill it with remembered joy.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss...
Ah yes, these things I, too, shall miss.
My life’s been full, I’ve savored much:
Good times, good friends, a loved one’s touch. Perhaps my time seemed all to brief-
Don’t shorten yours with undue grief.
Be not burdened with tears of sorrow,
Enjoy the sunshine of the morrow.
