John's obituary

Fall River - John "John-John" S. Lomba Jr, 57, of Fall River passed away at Charlton Memorial Hospital on Friday, November 17, 20021 after a long illness.

Born in Boston, he lived in New Bedford, MA and Orlando, FL for most of his life. He was a graduate of New Bedford High School. 

John had an enormous love for life. He was especially passionate about music. He was known to play his guitar and entertain with his favorite tunes from the Cape Verdean band, Bulimundo. Known affectionately as "Bulimundo" among family and friends, he would always bring his music everywhere he went. He was an avid Red Sox, Celtics and Patriots fan. He also enjoyed spending time with his large family and his many life-long friends. 

He was the son of the late Eugenia (Burgo) Lomba. 

Survivors include his father, John Lomba Sr. of Orlando, FL, a brother Donald Lomba of Orlando, FL, and two sisters, Dianna Lomba of Orlando FL and Leanna Umfress of Tampa, FL; five nieces and nephews and many uncles, aunts and cousins. 

Funeral arrangements will be private. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Cerebal Palsy Foundation.
