John's obituary

John Alan Logan born September 6, 1961 in Aberdeen, Mississippi passed away September 11, 2021 in Asheville, North Carolina at the age of 60.
John was a loving son, brother, father, uncle and husband. He had a gentle soul with a heart of gold. His family was always the most important to him. He had a sense of humor that with his quick wit would make you laugh so hard your stomach hurt. He appreciated the small things in life like teaching his kids to fish. He would always call his Mom and check on her regardless her response was always the same. He would asked her, how ya doing Mom and she would reply back, old and tired. Growing up, when he would run into us while out with his friends he would see us and have that smile on his face and hug each of us. He was never embarrassed to introduce us to his buddies as his little sisters. He always treated people fairly and nobody was better than anyone else.
He is survived by his mother and father Cammie and Garner Carlile. His siblings Terry Logan, Cherie Logan, Billy Earnest, Marla Robbins, Lara Cox, and Carol Lee Brown. His son Jake Logan and his daughter Ava Logan. He was an uncle and great uncle to many nieces and nephews. He was happily married to Shanette Logan and became the father of her sons as well as becoming a grandfather the kids would call Big John so lovingly. He was one of the boys when it came to cousins the Sanders Boys Mike, Vance, Marty, Brandon, and Shane. They were so much closer like brothers than cousins. As sad as we were to see Mike and Vance leave us so soon we know they were right there waiting for him along with Sue Sanders their Momma.
Family meant so much to John, that’s the legacy we will carry on in your memory. The branches on our family tree will continue to grow long after we’re gone one day but the stories passed down to the next generation will always remain and keep your spirit alive here. Fly high with those wings big brother it’s not a goodbye. We celebrate you because we know we will see you again one day. We love you and miss you, forever in our hearts ❤️John Alan Logan ❤️
