John's obituary

It is with grief and sorrow that we announce the passing of John "Jack" Little, a father, brother and partner, who passed away on January 7, 2026 in Victoria BC. Jack was born on April 13, 1937 in Irvine, Scotland, later moving to Canada.

John, fondly known as Jack, is survived by his children; daughters Fiona Lozinski, Joyce Makus, Carol McDougall, Helena Little, and sons Ian Little and William Little. He also leaves behind his sister, Joyce Grundy, and brother, Robert Little, as well as his sister-in-law Maureen Little.

Jack was predeceased by his father, Robert Little, and his mother, Elizabeth Little. He was also predeceased by his brother, William Little; nephew, Jason Grundy; brother-in-law, William Grundy; sister-in-law, Patsy Little; and his partner, Jan Petrie.

John was a man of varied interests and hobbies. His favorite games to play were Scrabble and Trivial Pursuit. Jack had a zeal for the written word and was an avid reader. He also loved photography, capturing moments and preserving memories. Above all, his lifelong passion was anything and everything to do with trains.

John will always be remembered by his family and those who knew him. The family is grateful for the support from friends and relatives during this time of sorrow. Jack's love for his favorite activities will continue to live on through the memories he left with his loved ones.
