John's obituary

On September 25, 2021, John Lesniowski son of Arlen Stout (Step-Father) and Evelyn (Grubaugh) Stout, passed away at the age of 69 years.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 34 years, Carolyn and his children: Christopher (Krista), Michael (Melinda), Rebecca, and Heather; grandchildren: Hugh David, Myles, Pamela, and Kelly; brother, Hoy (Neddy) Lesniowski; sister Alice (Robert) Wilson and brother Glen (Kethia) Stout; as well as numerous relatives and friends.

John is remembered as a fun loving man that enjoyed talking to everyone as a friend. He loved to talk about how proud he was of his family. With his friends and family, John enjoyed salmon and trout fishing, whitetail deer hunting, and endless shopping. John was a proud member of the US Marine Corps. He was stationed in Okinawa Japan where he also trained to be a black belt in Shorin-ryu Karate.

John was a proud alumnus from the 1969 Keyser football State Championship team and a distinguished member of the All Century team. John was also inducted into the Keyser High School Football Hall of Fame. He enjoyed going back to reunions and stayed in touch with his teammates throughout the years.

If desired friends may make memorial contributions to the Keyser Football Program to benefit the current players as they attempt to live up to the legacy John and his teammates.

A Visitation will be from 12-2 pm with a service to follow, on Sunday October 3, 2021, at Smith Funeral Home in Keyser, WV.
