Oh JWard… so many stories, so many memories. The ones I hold closest are those nine months we lived together in Creswell while you were building your dream home with your queen, TWard. What a gift that time was...sharing dinners, laughing about the endless errands, and getting our “exercise” chasing Gert and Vin around.

You were always adding your special touch...little lights that magically turned on when I opened the pantry, and all the thoughtful fixes that made a house feel like home. You greeted each morning with that big, unmistakable smile, and you were one of my biggest cheerleaders, especially during those long days of Zoom calls in COVID.

You also gave us the gift of new experiences...teaching me to love sailing and taking my kids on their very first sailboat ride. That’s something we’ll carry with us forever.

You made life brighter, fuller, and more fun just by being in it. You’ll be so deeply missed. 🤍

I have so many fond memories of spending time with Johnny and terri Ward. We raced together the yacht club. We spent time celebrating the New Year's Eve at their home. Both wonderful people. Johnny was so generous with his time and great stories. He will be sadly missed but not forgotten. Blessings to terri and his entire family. May his memories live on In our hearts. Love, Jeannie Erickson
I'm so sorry to here of Johns(STEAMERS) passing.John was one of the legitimately "good guys" and I'll always have good memories of him and how he accepted me into the fold even if I was a rookie...and A TEXAN no less!!! I Have many tales about STEAMER ...all if them GOOD and most of them funny! STEAMER will be greatly missed and I'll never forget his kindness and his patience he bestowed on a small rookie from Texas who was "scared" at first! Here's to you JOHN WARD!!! ("VIA CON DIOS STEAMER") Your shipmate...."MILES WADDELL" (Tyler, Texas)
