I am deeply pained and words are of no help in expressing the sorrow I feel at this moment. Sincere condolences!

Dear Donna, Janet & Rosemary:
We are so sorry to hear about the loss of your father and husband. He will be missed by many people. We have fond memories of the time we spent when we first met on a China trip 33 years ago.
With our deepest sympathy, Bill and Janice Wong
It really saddened us when we heard of John’s passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
We reminisced about all the wonderful times we had with him and of cause his smile.
We cannot even imagine what your family must be feeling.
John was a Great person who touched many lives including ours.

My mother traveled to this country with John and his mother in 1947. They flew on TWA and had a long layover in Hawaii. John had a toy airplane which broke when he bumped into another passenger. As my mom told us, John started to cry loudly "the airplane broke." My mom tried to hush him quickly for fear that the message might alarm the passengers or that it might come true. I don't know on which leg of the trip this occurred. But I always wondered if that accounted for the delayed flight and pleasant stay in Hawaii. According to my mom, an airline employee drove the three of them around sightseeing.
