John was born July 1964 in Crystal Springs to Armond and Melissa Lawrence. A community activist and defended those who could not defend themselves. He had a love for music at an early age. Ho started playing the piano at New Bethany Baptist Church at the age of 15 and later joined this church under the supervision of his Dad as the presiding Pastor.
