John was born July 1964 in Crystal Springs to Armond and Melissa Lawrence. A community activist and defended those who could not defend themselves. He had a love for music at an early age. Ho started playing the piano at New Bethany Baptist Church at the age of 15 and later joined this church under the supervision of his Dad as the presiding Pastor. John met his wife Jan while working at the factory in town. They had 2 son John and Jacob. He later retired from the factory and took ill shortly after.
John was preceded in death by his parents Armond and Melissa Lawrence, survived by his beloved sons John and Jacob, his wife Jane Lawrence, brother Stephen Lawrence (Tanya) and a host of family and friends.
