8 years ago, Damien learned and played this for my dad. He was so proud! Love and miss you!

I wrote this today after coming home from your Dads service hon and maybe if you want you can share it with your family. Sending Love, Hugs and Angels Blessings. ❤️

Today Bear and I stood in Honor and Respect for the celebration of life for a good friend, John Kanellos.

Bear worked with John and his beautiful wife Terri at the Post Office and we instantly became friends outside of the P.O.

John and his family are amazing people who have so much love for so many.

John will always be remembered for his smile and gregarious laugh…you couldn’t help but smile even if you are having a bad day.

He loved his family more than life itself…

He loved this great country and served honorably in the United States Air Force…

He loved his furbabies with so much heart…

He loved the community and was a man everyone, everyone knew…

He loved singing and was tremendous at doing his Elvis gig…

He loved fast cars and motorcycles…

I could go on but it is easier to say that John LOVED life.

John will truly be missed but the greatest gift he left was his legacy that will live on as long as we talk of him and we will do just that.

Thank you for the friendship and feeling of belonging to your family John…

Until we meet again as God has promised, rest well brother.

Blessings,

Bear and Robi

Our hearts and prayers are with the family and many friends.

John was a rare friend who never wanted to see someone hurt or sad and loved making people smile.

We will always remember our fun with Buicks and motorcycles together.

May you find comfort in knowing the greatest gift one can leave behind is their legacy that is spoken of from the heart for years to come.

The Fearonce/Albrecht family is sadden to lose such a great human being. The Kanellos family was always part of our lives especially when our two boys were growing up. Many a weekend day, did we spend at the Kanellos home. John brought Santa Claus alive for my boys. From the roof, to meeting them in the big chair with presents and candy. I worked with John and Terry for most of my 30 years and we had many good times. John was my go to guy if I needed something, and he always came through. We joked, laughed and he was always there for you. Truly a wonderful person and someone that will be missed.

Terry and Family,  I am so sorry that we won’t be able to attend the service but want you to know we are sending our love and are deeply sorry for this profound loss in your lives. John was a kind hearted generous man with a love of life that is inspirational. He made us laugh putting kids toys in the back of my car when I wasn’t looking. His love of family was palpable as well as his trust in and love of God. Again, we are deeply sorry for your loss. God bless you all. Nancy and Jim

So many great memories from childhood, high school, and into adulthood with your family! You will be missed!
I was sad when I heard the news of John's passing.  My sincere condolences to the whole family.  Thank you Alle for sharing all the wonderful memories of whom your father was.  The laughter he brought to so many people is wonderful, the memories he leaves with your family that you will all carry on.  My prayers are with you.
John was a character of the very best kind..  He always had a smile on his face and his laugh was contagious; you just could not be in a bad mood when he was in the room.  I loved that New York accent and his sense of humor.  He made friends with everyone he met and that made him very special.  He will be missed but never forgotten.
I am so sorry for your loss.  May God Bless you all and give you peace.  Sending prayers to you all.  Love Sylvia Soto and Family.

I left Kino PO in 1998 and still remember John we’ll. He always had a smile on his face and laughter at the ready!! He put up with alot of teasing from the guys about his NY accent and was such a good sport, he just laughed along with him.

John, I know you are sorely missed! You made an impact on everyone you met! I love thinking that you can meet Elvis now!!❤️

Many stories of John.
Years ago he brought some guns onto postal property. He was told he couldn't have them there. His response was, "I'm not gonna hurt anybody, I'm just gonna sell them!" Oh, John, John, John.
Rumor was the only thing he wouldn't sell or trade was his family and God knows how much he loved his family.
We used to tell Terri she was a saint. She never knew when she went home from work what furniture would be there because John might trade out what was there in the morning for something totally different when she came home at night. The family was always in for an adventure with John at the helm. Cars, furniture, you name it, it could all be swapped out several times in a weeks time.
Godspeed, John, you were one of a kind for sure and you will be missed by many, no doubt.

I will always smile when I hear an Elvis song.

John always put a smile on my face. He was kind and treated me as part of the family. I will miss his big smiles as well as his big beautiful voice. RIP my friend, may you be free of pain, spread your beautiful wings and sing in heavens choir. You can finally sing along side Elvis! Love you!
I wish we could be there.  We will be thinking of all of you.  What a GREAT man.  Love to everyone!!
My grandpa John was my favorite. Ever since I was little I would always hangout with him, he would always take me to McDonalds to play, he would take me to Twice as Nice sometimes and we would always get the bread together, go to Pawn shops and he would get me beats headphones. My grandpa and I would do a lot together and we still did even before he passed. My grandpa was a big influencer in my life and I know I was his number one favorite grandson. I will never forget all the great times we had together. I had a dream about a week ago where I saw him in my dream and we walking and talking and then there was a point in my dream when he said “ You can’t follow me anymore I have to go”. And when he said I he had his mom, dad and his sister Rosanna on his left and on his right was my grandmas mom and dad . He told me to tell everyone that he loves them and take care of grandma and tell grandma that her mom and dad love her very much and he also said “I’m ok”  and after he said that my mom heard me whimpering in my sleep and out loud I said “ No Grandpa” and she came by me and tried to wake me up and right before I woke up I asked my grandpa can you come to my birthday and he said “ I’ll try but I’ll be very busy and I hugged him and he was gone and when I woke up I was crying hard and my dad was in front of me and I hugged and I told everyone that day about my dream when I woke up. And they were all crying too. Grandpa, I love you so much and I will miss you, thank you for all the great times and you are one of the most strongest persons I know. You were such a fighter and you fought so hard. You will always be with me no matter what in my heart and I will keep Elvis alive just for you because I know you would’ve wanted me to take over Elvis. I love you Grandpa. 😘😘😘😘
John lived a life filled with joy!  His was a life well lived and an inspiration to us all!  I hope to see him in the Heartbreak Hotel in heaven!
I worked with him at Kino station for many years and he was a delightful and energetic man whom we all loved🤗💕💐💐, sincerely yours, Pinky Zirzow
