We'd like to thank our family and friends for their overwhelming support during this time. Many of you had the chance to know my dad. I can tell you for certain that he cherished each one of you and enjoyed any time he had with you. He kept up with his friends in Cleveland that he knew for over 40 years. His neighbors in Durham and Columbia were as close as family. He loved getting to know our friends from Chapel Hill, especially talking about basket ball. I know he is eternally grateful for all the relationships he had over the years. He enjoyed life to the fullest and even the smallest connections mattered to him. He never met a person he couldn't connect with, even in the grocery line. He exemplified kindness and generosity. He will be missed.
