John's obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John "Jay" Hatcher, a beloved father known for his wit, strength, and unwavering positivity. Mr. Hatcher departed from this world on February 20, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love and generosity that will continue to inspire all those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Born on July 12, 1961, John, often playfully called Jay, was an exceptional man who left an indelible mark on the lives of many through his unmatched goodness and humility. He was an embodiment of kindness and had a heart that was as massive as his sense of humor. His sharp wit and humor brought smiles to faces and lightened many a somber moment.
John's strongest trait, perhaps, was his unwavering positive outlook on life. Even in the face of adversity, he stood tall and resolute, his strength of character visible for all to see. Yet he was not without his stubborn streak, a quality often cloaked by his tremendous kindness and humble nature.
John was a committed educator in the school of life, and one of his most powerful teachings was to never judge others until you've stepped into their shoes. This principle guided him throughout his life and he passed this wisdom onto his cherished first son, Andy Hatcher, second son, Joey Hatcher, daughter, Cassandra Hatcher, & Fiance, Randi Reid who survives him today.
John's legacy is not encapsulated by words or deeds, but rather by the enduring spirit of love and generosity that he leaves behind. His memory will forever be a beacon of strength and kindness, a testament to a life well-lived, filled with laughter, compassion, and a deep-rooted love for his family and friends. His spirit will live on through his family through the countless lives he touched, and through the many hearts he warmed with his kindness and generosity.
In remembrance of John, we invite those who knew him to reflect on the beautiful lessons he has left behind and to continue his legacy of love and generosity. May his soul rest in peace.
