John Harold Melvin, 71, of Akron, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home on October 23, 2025.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John R. Melvin and Ann (Smith) Melvin.

He is survived by his daughter, Kristy (Michael) Bennett, and his son, Joshua Melvin. Loving grandfather to Mercedes, Kaitlin (Conner), Malachi, Angelina, Scarlett, Daniel (DJ), and Noah; and great-grandfather to Isabella, Alexander, and Zoey.
