John Hackman, 78, of Detroit, Michigan passed away peacefully on December 16, 2022 at his home in Alexandria, Virginia.

John Hackman was born in Detroit to Helen and Keith Hackman on August 14, 1944. John was the oldest of 3 children, 2 boys and 1 girl. He graduated from Samuel C. Mumford High School in 1962. After high school he became a mechanic and worked on cars in various auto shops. In his free time, John loved to hunt, fish, camp, and spend time with his wife, children, and grandchildren.

John is preceded in death by Keith and Helen, his father and mother, respectively.

John is survived by his wife Rosa, sons Phillip and Mark, siblings Steve, and Mary, grandchildren Kelsey, Maranda, and Maddison, and great grandson Alex.

The family of John wishes to extend our sincere thanks to everyone who has shown us support in this challenging time. 

Funeral arrangements have not been finalized as of today.
