Background

As many of you already know, John was a 25 year bladder cancer survivor. He, unlike most stage 4 patients, went on to live many additional years after his surgery, chemo and radiation. For a person with stage 4 bladder cancer, the 5-year relative survival rate is only around 5 percent, so much more research and work still needs to be done. His family are all so grateful and credit all those additional years of life we got to spend with him to his amazing doctors and all the research that went into is care.
