He is survived by his sons, each named John Graves, in a lovely tradition that continued his legacy. Also mourning his loss is his caring daughter-in-law, Tammy Graves. He was the cherished grandfather of Ryan and Aaron Graves, and the doting grandfather to his granddaughter, Tianna Reese. A man of simple tastes, John's favorite foods were all snack foods, and he always had a Coke nearby. He was an avid viewer of TV shows, particularly found of Game Shows and the classic series, Mash. Associations of John will also undoubtedly bring up the Chicago Cubs, which was his favorite sports team and a source of endless excitement for him.
John Graves was a man who lived fully and loved openly. His favorite recreational activity was enjoying the beauty and tranquility of Hawaii, a place he visited as often as he could. With a heart as warm as the Hawaiian sun, he was best described by those who knew him as kind and giving, always ready to lend a helping hand.
