John Glamann of Lake Wales, Fl passed away unexpectedly March 7th,2021 at Winter Haven Hospital, Winer Haven, FL. John was a 29-year resident of Lake Wales Florida. Recently retired November 8th, 2020, after serving as Pastor at Lake Wales Lutheran Church, Lake Wales, Fl. John Was a pastor for 46 years before retiring, with the last 28 years being here in Lake Wales. He is preceded in death by his Sisters Susanne and Cindy Glamann, and Father Vernon Glamann. Survived by his loving wife Sue Glamann, Daughter Faith Ann, Granddaughter Abigail, Stepsons Thor, Rolf, and Kirk, Mother Florence Glamann, Sister Sharon Wild, Niece Tricia Wild, Nephew John (Kathy) Wild, and many loving friends.
John was born November 5th, 1948 to Vernon and Florence Glamann, Beaver Dam, WI. In his early days he attended middle/grade school at St. John’s Lutheran School, Mayville, WI. High School at Concordia College High School Department, Milwaukee, WI (June 3rd,1966). He went on to gain his Associates of Arts at Concordia College, Milwaukee, WI (May 30th,1968). From there he achieved his Bachelors of Arts at Concordia Senior College, Milwaukee, WI (May 13th,1970). Next, he earned his Doctorate of Theology at Concordia Seminary Exile, St. Louis, MO (May 29th, 1974). Finally achieving his goal and Certificate of Ordination, Momence, IL District: Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (September 14th, 1974).
John was a loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle, and man of God. His Faith in our Lord ran deep, and he took any opportunity to share that Faith with everyone. He enjoyed spending time with his wife, they traveled together and made many great memories. He was very proud of his family and would tell anyone who was willing to listen. He loved to sit and talk about memories and fun times from the past. He didn’t know a stranger; everyone quickly became a friend. He was very generous, if someone needed help in any way, he was there to lend a helping hand, word of advice, or prayer. He will be greatly missed by many.
