My dads sister Virginia sue wanted me to share how my dad held her hand when she was saved and accepted Jesus as her savior . I didn't know this , but it's nice to know. He was a special person who helped so much in any little or big way.
Iβm sorry I only have one memory to share. Ed babysat my brothers, sister and I one time. To keep us entertained they had us do a talent show. We dressed up and performed. We must have been good because I remember them laughing and having a good time. Itβs never easy losing a loved one. Iβm so sorry for your loss.
There is so much I can say about βUncle Edβ. He was a great man and he will be deeply missed. Hug my mommy , daddy , and my brother for me and all the other family members. There is no good byes thereβs until we meet again. ππΌπ». Iβm so sorry Sheline,Robyn, and Johnboy

I have not seen Uncle Ed in about 30 years. The memory I do have with him was when I was about 4 or 5 yrs old and him and Uncle James would take me on the Detroit news paper route. They would put me in the middle of the backseat sitting on bundles of news papers. I will always remember them days. Rest in Peace. Uncle Ed
My dad was a good man, Iβm glad I got to go see him before he got bad sick and he got to see his granddaughter and meet my husband he actually rubbed my husbands head that let me know he liked him LOL true fighter to the end!
I have to many good memories of my Papaw. He took me everywhere with him when I was little, and I always wanted to be with him. I don't remember much about being little and my Papaw not being there.
We liked watching Ernest movies together every Halloween and Christmas we would Ernest scares stupid and Ernest saves Christmas. He'd always do the Ernest voice and say "Ya know what I mean Vern" when he was telling me something π€£π€·ββοΈ
He was always helping someone out, always grocery shopping for old ladies in his apt complex taking them to the doctor office or fixing their cars.
Eevrytime I'd stop by his place when I was older he was always on the move helping someone out. Most of our visits as I got older were me just sitting in a lawn chair talking to him while he worked on cars.
I got to talk to my Papaw before he passed and I'm grateful for that. My Papaw will be missed.
Uncle Ed was a great man he loved with all of his heart when we were little we all would gather at Papa's house and all the aunts and uncles played softball with everyone of us kids he would send us outside to play and play Foolish Games all the time, later through the years the neighborhood kids would all gather and play. Uncle loved all of his Oldie music and Country we would watch Hee-Haw every Saturday night at Papa's house. Years past he got a divorce it came to live with us at Mom's house for a little bit he would always flirt with everyone's girlfriends, he always had the nasty jokes pulled his finger and fart, go out sniper hunting give us a paper bag and tell us whoever got the most snipers w o n which there was no such thing as a sniper hunting. When he got remarried to Edna which we all know as faybee Jimmy and I stood up for them when they got married maid of honor and best man. Every girl he was seeing he would bring to Mama's house and of course it ended up being just about every day having dinner as a family. When he was going out with Sherry Winnington he told her that no one would ever out cook gene. He was a very giving man to mother to help her out with a few different cars and come and work on them when they broke down. He will be loved and missed there is just so much more I could say but I'm going to keep it short my deepest condolence to Shelly Robin and John Boy

I only met βUncle Edβ a few times before he moved to Arkansas. I do know he was a wonderful brother to my mother in law, Gene. From his obituary he sounds like he was a very kind person. May he Rest In Peace.
John took in any stray animal he found. He rescued it and gave it a forever home. Big, small, car, dog, it didn't matter , he made a hoke for them all. John loved to help the people in his community and in the churches he was a member of. John helped everyone that he could and loved being that person who did so.
