Cheryl we are so sorry for your loss. Fr. John married our son Jeremy Marshall back in 2016 where we met both of you. Both of you invited us to your house for dinner and you were the nicest couple we have ever met. Thank you for being in our sons life our condolences to you again we are so sorry for your loss.

We will miss John’s presence in this physical world, but rejoice that he is free and in the presence of the Trinity. Our visit in February is a wonderful memory of the beach, John’s ongoing love of oysters, playing cards, laughter and his stories. Our love and sympathy to all of you.

Dear Cheryl, We feel so lucky to have met you and John at Holmes beach at sunset as we enjoyed the sandcastle contest. After knowing you less than a year, we stayed til 3am to watch the 2016 presidential election results come in. What a memorable evening that was, all of us hoping Michigan and Wisconsin would vote differently! We enjoyed so many political, cultural, and travel discussions. We will miss John’s friendship, wisdom, and perspective very much.

Much love, Vicki and Stewart
Dear Cheryl and family. Happily, our last memory of John is, in fact, a happy one. It was just a month or so into pandemic stay-at-home and my John and I had just had it. So we drove down into your driveway and I knocked on your door with the intention of just saying 'hi' and keeping my distance. What joy that both of you came out onto your porch and at the proper social distance of 6', the four of us just chatted like old times. Our time with you was brief but lovely while it lasted. Blessings to you all and we hope that later, we can again visit...maybe even on your front porch. With love, Marianne and John Moyer
