John's obituary
John is survived by his wife, Marion Eaton; his brothers Robert (Lorraine) Eaton and William (Sheila) Eaton; Sister Linda Eaton; his two children Michael Eaton. Melissa (Joe Eveland) Cobart; Grandchildren Emma, Morgan and Avery Eaton, Owen and Colin Cobart and their father and close friend Tim Cobart. He is predeceased by his parents, Cecil and Mary Eaton.
John was a coin machine mechanic at Pepsi Bottling Company, where he worked for more than 36 years.
John was a great family man and a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. Over the years He made many friends whom he considered family.
John was a social, active man who was a member of the Verdoy Fire Department where he served from December 1980 thru February 1996. He was a co-founder and life time member of the Tamarac Outdoorsman Club where he enjoyed spending his weekends playing horseshoes and spending time with his family and friends.
A Celebration of life is scheduled for April 14, 2019 from 12pm to 3pm at Verdoy Fire Department, 988 Troy Schenectady Road Latham NY. All are welcome to attend. In lieu of flowers the family would ask that donations be sent to The Alex Duncan and Family Fund at http://www.gofundme.com/alex-… to help with Alex’s courageous fight against cancer.
