John Allen DuBry born October 10, 1959. Originally from Orange County California, John lived all across the country from Irvine, CA to Newton, NH, and finally in Lake Forest, CA. John passed peacefully at home after a short illness. He is survived by his 2 children Michael and Kaitlyn DuBry of Scituate, MA, his ex-wife and friend Patricia (Donahue) DuBry of Scituate, MA, his mother Donna (Cox, DuBry, Richardson) Smith of Lake Forest, CA, his brother Donald DuBry, and sister Janet DuBry, neice & nephew Danielle And Kyle DuBry, as well as his many nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his brothers Thom DuBry and Michael , his sister Sharon Hakim, his father Allen DuBry, step-fathers William Richardson, and Jack Smith.

John worked as a mortgage underwriter for most of his life helping people purchase their dream homes. He was an avid golfer and loved outdoor fun whether on his dirt bike, four wheeler, jet skis, or boat. He found so much joy taking his kids on trips to amusement parks, water parks, the White Mountains of NH, and the beaches on the NH and ME coasts. He was loved by all making friends everywhere he went. He had a knack for finding little hole in the wall pubs and enjoyed toasting friends old and new. He loved making people smile and laugh and singing karaoke especially his favorite “Brandy”, which he enjoyed singing for his wife. His homemade burritos were known from coast to coast. In the last few years of his life he mostly loved to spend time with his best friend, Jarrod, down at the River or traveling to the local casinos. He always had a story to tell after each excursion. Everywhere he traveled and experiences he had he found something special to share with his kids. He shared selfies regularly with his family, whether he was with Elvis, on his dirt bike, or just hanging out with his friends. He spent the last years of his life caring for his dad, Jack, and his mom, Donna.

Memorial Services will take place later in the Spring in Scituate, MA. A notice will go out when scheduled. In lieu of flowers a fund has been set up to help pay for his daughter, Kaitlyn's, education.
