John's obituary
- John "Tom" Dicks, Jr., 87, of Elkhart, IN, peacefully passed away on August 13, 2022 surrounded by loved ones.
John was born on July 08, 1935 to John and Martha Dicks in the bustling city of Terre Haute, In. After John graduated from Wiley High School in 1952, he entered the military, serving in the Air Force and the Naval reserves. John was a sales and purchasing representative for many years. In 1964 he married Catherine Rosann Sills Dicks and went on to raise four children, Chuck and Karen Sills and John Dicks and Lisa (Brian) Ridenour. He was passionate about his family. John was predeceased by his parents, his wife and son, Chuck, and sisters Helen Hoskinson, Fran Allen, Mildred Scott. He is survived by his children Karen, Lisa and John, grandsons Michael Wolf, and Jonathan and Tyler Dicks and sisters Margaret Hood and Dorothy Scott. A private celebration of life will be held at a later time.
