I am heartbroken to hear about Andy. He and I are the same age and we talked so many fun stories of our youth, ball, kids and teachers over the years. He had a soothing presence to me. So many people he touched.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to Janessa, the children and family.
I will miss him and never forget him.
I’ve known Andy for years and whenever I saw him he was positive. He always, joyfully talked about his family. May peace and strength cover his family at this very sad time.

Dewett family,
I'm so deeply sorry for your tragic loss. He was my first evaluator when I moved to Grandview and he was always so kind and supportive of myself and our department. I also had his daughter Addisen in my Foods and Nutrition class. Your family is in our prayers.
My deepest condolences to the family and all who were close to him. There are no words that can Express the huge loss of such a great human being. Fly high and free with the Angel's Andy.
Thoughts and prayers from the Meza family.
So sorry for your loss. Grew up playing sports with Anson, naturally Andy was at all the games. He was always one to say good game and was always one to ask me how I was doing when I saw him. When I got to high school he was the assistant principle at Cherokee trail. I saw him in the halls and at games all the time, he never failed to reach out ask me how I was doing and how my family was. Whenever I went back to visit school he was someone I always made sure I go and see. Certainly was a great human being. So sorry for your loss. Thoughts and condolences are with the family!
I’m so very sorry for your loss. Andy was my supervisor when I transitioned from teaching to admin as a Dean. So many times I’d go into his office for help - I was like a deer in the headlights - no idea what I was doing. Andy was so amazing at helping me find the answers within myself - he was a true coach, never jumping in and doing it for me, but sending me back out to deal with it on my own with strength and confidence. I adored him - appreciated him - and will miss him. All my love to his family.
I met Andy in the 7th grade ND I was deeply saddened to hear of his untimely passing. I am sending prayers for his wife, his kids, his Grandkids, his Father, his Brother & his friends.
Andy was an important part of our community here at Cherokee Trail High School. I have always appreciated his genuine kindness and his sense of humor. Andy was incredibly down-to-earth and always put me at ease.

I would often see him in the hallway and ask how Alexa and Miller were doing. Andy's face lit up each time he gave me updates on them. It was clear to everyone how much he loved his children and grandchildren. I was also fortunate enough to work with Alexa. It's true that he passed along his strong work ethic, sense of humor, and kindness to his children.

Andy will truly be missed. We are so sorry for this incredible loss.
Thoughts and prayers to the Dewett family! Heaven has gained a wonderful angel!
I am saddened by this news. Andy was such a great guy. His advice he gave me and my children as they were entering Grandview as athletes and students was invaluable to our family. I have missed sharing a couple beers with you, especially on snow days.

Jenessa and kids, remember to breathe. It might seem silly but trust me it worked for me a similar situation. You will be in my prayers
I am so sad to hear of Andy’s passing. I knew him from high school. Such a great guy❤️
I feel privileged to have worked with Andy at Cherokee Trail. His gentle nature and kindness will not be forgotten. My heart goes out to his family during this difficult time.
I’ll always remember his smile and constant support of students and staff while working in the library. He never missed a beat when he was needed assistance. He truly impacted many by his presence.
You are missed by many.
The baseball community is saddened by this news. Andy was respected by so many of us! The number of phone calls , texts and emails have been off the chart extended the sadness! Personally I appreciate his friendship over the years! May you rest in peace my friend!
A favorite family and home, that is filled with love - my heart is with you now ❤️

Jenessa & family is beloved by our family - she told me a story that Andy walked in wearing a hat, so our 1-year old son went and ran to get his ball cap to match with Andy. I remember her saying “just a couple of dudes, hanging out”. Later, Andy asked her if he should run out and get some candy to give the kids - so sweet
