John David Jones (Dave)a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on May 29th, 2024, at the age of 82. Born in Weston, Missouri, Dave lived a life marked by dedication, service, and love.

Dave shared a beautiful and enduring marriage with his beloved wife, Joyce, for sixty years. Together, they raised four wonderful children: Jeffery David Jones (Michelle), James Jones (Nicole), Jennifer DeVoe (Greg), and Jill Bolen (Tony). Dave’s legacy lives on through his grandchildren,Sarah, Joshua,Madison, Abigail, Adam,Ashley, Bella, Ava, Allison,Avery, Amanda, Chase, Jacob, Braden, Skylar, also four great grandchildren, Booker,Dallas, Hazel, and, Enya each of whom brought immense joy and pride to his life.

A proud Vietnam veteran, Dave served his country with honor and bravery. After his military service, Dave embraced entrepreneurship, successfully running his own business for fifteen years. He went on to dedicate twenty years to federal service at the Defense Supply Center Columbus, demonstrating a tireless commitment to his community and country.

Dave was a long-time resident of both Central Ohio and Tucson, Arizona, where he built lasting friendships and contributed to the community. He was a cherished brother to Bobby and Cruz Jones of Tucson, and Linda Mills of Harrison, Oregon along with many nieces and nephews.

Dave was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Mary Katherine, whose love and values shaped the man he became.

His presence and his love will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his spirit, strength, and love will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to be part of his life.

Rest in peace, Dave. Your legacy of love, service, and dedication will forever be remembered.
