John's obituary
John Daude, age 90, of Sterling Heights, Michigan, passed away peacefully on February 14, 2026, leaving behind a life defined by courage, hard work, and an enduring sense of adventure.
John was born in Alqosh, Iraq, where his early years shaped the strength and resilience that would guide him throughout his life. In 1960, he moved to Munich, Germany, where he began working for an airline company before discovering and learning the tool and die trade, a craft that would become his lifelong profession. While living in Munich, John met the love of his life, Helga, and the two were married there in 1966.
Their first child was born in Germany, but John never let go of his dream of building a life in the United States. In 1969, John and Helga moved to America, fulfilling that dream and beginning a new chapter together. Through dedication and determination. John went on to own and operate his own tool and die business for 30 years, earning respect for his skill, work ethic, and entrepreneurial spirit.
John was a strong, brave, and adventurous man who embraced life fully. He had a deep love for travel, always eager to explore new places and experiences, and he carried that same curiosity and courage into every part of his life. Above all, John was devoted to his family, taking great pride in the life he built and the opportunities he created for those he loved.
John is survived by his beloved wife, Helga Daude; his daughters, Silvana Daude and Claudia (Scott) Leman; and his cherished grandchildren, Christian and Morgan Leman. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
