We regretfully announce the passing of John Cushion, who was born on August 15, 1957, and passed away on May 11, 2024. A faithful, kind, and personable man, he was known for his friendly demeanor and approachability. John was a true patriot who proudly served in the Air Force during the post-Vietnam era. His character and dedication will forever be remembered and respected.
John is survived by his beloved wife, Patrice Cushion. Their bond and the memories they created will undoubtedly live on in Patrice's heart. His passing is a monumental loss not just to his wife and brothers but also to his church family, who will deeply miss his presence.
John loved simplicity and nature. He was known to be a friend to deer, wild turkeys, and cats, creating a kinship that spoke volumes about his gentle and loving soul. His hobbies included building model ships and tinkering on the computer, which brought him great joy.
John was more than just an Air Force veteran. His life was spent in loving devotion, and his exercise of faith influenced everyone around him. His legacy will continue to inspire those privileged to know him. His greatest accomplishment was his service to the nation, a role he fulfilled with dedication and honor.
A memorial service in honor of John's life will be held on May 18, 2024, at 3:45 PM at 110 Golf St. All who knew and loved John are welcome to attend and celebrate his life and legacy.
