Obituary

John "Jack" Blanchard Cown, 87, passed away on May 10, 2023, in Suffield, CT. He was born on March 31, 1936, in Washington, D.C. to Julian and Kathleen (Kesterson) Cown.

Jack is survived by his wife of 52 years, Joann Cown, his daughters Julianne Conlon and Jessica Davis, his son-in-law Brian Davis, his five grandchildren, and his four siblings.

Jack was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, having served in the First Tank Battalion during the Korean War. He was a well-known volunteer in his community and church. Jack was also passionate about Civil War history, telling stories, and knowing “stuff.”

A small ceremony celebrating Jack's life will be held on Monday, May 29. For details please email julianneconlon@icloud.com
