John's obituary
He was born in Norwich, Connecticut on February 14, 1945 to John E Connelly and Alice (Papinski) Connelly.
John grew-up in Jewett City, Connecticut where he remained to commit his life to his family and his community.
John attended Griswold High School, where he graduated in 1963. He graduated from Fairfield University in 1967. Upon graduating from Fairfield, John returned to Jewett City to teach at Griswold Elementary School for thirty-five years. He spent his summers working for The Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection at Hopeville and Pachaug State Parks.
John is survived by his wife Jacqueline Connelly, son Patrick Connelly, daughter Erin Connelly, and his stepson Kevin Greene.
John also leaves behind his sister and brother-in-law- Margaret Guarneri and Ronald Guarneri, niece and nephew Sarah Falcone and Matthew Gaurneri and their respective families.
Funeral services are private.
