John's obituary
John Calderon, 62, of Tampa, Florida passed away unexpectedly on December 15, 2022.
John grew up in Brooklyn NY. After graduating from Alexander Hamilton HS, he went on to earn a degree in Architecture at New York Institute of Technology.
In 1987, he met Nilda Ramos in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico. They got married in 1988 and were deeply devoted to each other.
After working as a graphic designer for various companies in NYC, John and Nilda decided to relocate to Tampa, Florida in 2006. John decided to pursue his dream of becoming an entrepreneur where he could incorporate his Architectural Design expertise and his desire to construct. John was passionate about Digital design and applying new construction techniques. Owning his own company gave John a great amount of joy and was something he worked hard at, each and every day.
Everyone who knew John knew how compassionate he was. John was full of life, joy and traits that were obvious to all after even just a single meeting with him. John was always putting the needs of others before his own. He would do anything for his friends and neighbors and loved fiercely. He made everyone who knew him laugh, cry, and applause at all the stories he shared.
John is survived by Nilda Calderon (wife) Carmen Gonzalez (mother), Elsie Maldonado (sister).
John requested a celebration of life be held in his honor as opposed to traditional funeral services.
