John Henry Burton III, a dedicated father, brother, friend and attorney, known for his intelligence, wit, generous heart, humility, and love of sailing and surfing.  Born on March 8, 1973, in Orange County, California, John grew up in Irvine, and graduated Woodbridge High School in 1991. As president of the high school's surf club, he was well like by all. His home was often the locale of the best parties of the time.

He earned his Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Irvine, before pursuing his Juris Doctor at Chapman University School of Law. Admitted to the California Bar in 2005, John quickly established himself as a skilled litigator, focusing on business, real estate, employment, and construction matters. John practiced law in Napa and later in San Diego, 

John is remembered by colleagues for his sharp legal mind and by friends for his ability to bring people together. He is survived by his daughter, Abigail, and sisters Kristi, Bryndley, and Heather.
