I had the honor of editing The Glass Alibi and preparing Pengey for his life in e-format. Through this I got to know John a little and he was a real gentleman, good-humored despite his illness: an irrepressible raconteur. I am saddened by his passing, but will always remember how he encouraged me. My condolences to his friends and family and especially to his wife, Carol, with whom I worked for many years. RIP, sir.
