John generously shared his vast knowledge of dogs and biology with us all. He founded the Tick-l digital discussion list, decades ago when few understood the impact of tick bourne diseases on our dogs. Through it, he shared the scientific research that was being done on treatment of the various diseases, held many hands, and encouraged and supported the members as they sought out the best solutions for their animals. It was clear that John loved dogs, but even more so he loved people. He was a gift to us all. I miss his sage guidance and I will think of him often. Run free John with your Salukis!
John was a great gentleman and I so enjoyed our time together out hunting the Salukis and Whippets ,he led a fascinating life and was always in good humor. I can imagine him reuniting with all his old friends that have gone before him.

My deepest condolences for John's passing.  He was  such a kind man, willingly sharing his incredible knowledge about salukis  with me amongst many others.  I am forever grateful for all he shared and happy I got to meet him in person a few times. It was like meeting  an old friend after years of correspondances. Thank you, John. You will never be forgotten. RIP

I am so sorry to hear of John's passing. I hunted with him for many years in California. He was an amazing guy. He knew so much! it was always a pleasure to spend a day in the field with John!

Until I met John,  I didn't think anyone could love salukis as much as I did.  RIP dear friend.
