John grew up in Detroit, MI and had a calling to religion. He attended the seminary and graduated with a Masters in Theology. In 1972, John was ordained a priest, and would continue in that profession until 1979 when he married Marge. John was hard-working and dedicated. John would also continue his religious background with helping in the Religious Education Department at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Wayne, MI, and also was the head of the Adult Religious Education Department. Despite his many responsibilities, he always made time for his family and his passions. He was a man of integrity, kindness, generosity, and he left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.
John's hobbies and interests helped define who he was. He enjoyed church, lawn care, and golf, often spending his weekends making sure his grass was in pristine condition. His love for lawncare and religion was something he shared with his children, leaving a mark on us that will never fade.
