John's obituary

John Brewster, 86, of San Jose, CA, passed away on December 10, 2022 after a long-fought battle with lymphoma.


John was born on September 12, 1936 to Lewis and Janet Brewster in Sioux City, IA. After graduating from high school he went on to join the Navy. As his commitment with the Navy was wrapping up he was beginning to find a new commitment in his life. That was to his new bride, Judith Marie Brewster.  They were married April 20, 1963. They had four sons, John Arthur (Angela), James Anthony (Delia), Joseph Patrick (Ruth), Jeffrey Howard (Brandie).  John was a business owner and had many great stories about his time as the owner of “Story Lounge “ and “Coconut Willie's”.  

John is predeceased by his parents Lewis and Janet and by his dear wife Judy, as well as his siblings Margene, William, Frances, Michael, Lannie and Daniel.

He is survived by his siblings, children and grandchildren.
