It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of John Bray. John Bray returned home to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on January 23, 2026.

John is survived by his Wife Carol Bray and sons Bobby Bonilla-Bray and Michael Bonilla-Bray, Nephew James Herrera, Nieces Nikki Hardwick and Julie Ogle.

John and Carol met while John worked as a deckhand on the Catalina Express where Carol Bonilla-Bray traveled daily to Long Beach from Catalina Island to work as a registered nurse on the mainland. John and Carol were married for 43 years.

Carol Bray is currenly in an induced coma at Whittier Community Hospital and her prognosis of recovery is not promising.  While Carol was in an induced coma, John sadly passed away.
