Jack's obituary
Jack loved [to yell about] the Chicago Bears, watching Cubs games with Riley, bonding over Star Trek with Dennis, and listening to classic rock with Katera. A talented golfer, Jack made sure his children knew he was an “ace” while at Montini Catholic High School in Lombard and loved to critique his kids’ form as they navigated the game.
Jack overcame a number of challenges in life, and dedicated himself — especially in his last few years — to being the best father he could be. He fought hard until the end, making sure all of his children were safe and happy before getting ready to move on, and appreciated those able to visit him in his last few weeks.
His funeral service will be held at Christ the King Catholic Church in Lombard on Friday, April 16 at 10am, with a lunch to follow.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in tribute of Jack to the animal shelter where his daughter works, Austin Pets Alive!, are appreciated.
