John Wayne Baxter of Quincy, Florida was born December 28, 1940 in Madisonville Ky to the late John and Goldie Baxter. John received his formal education with the Madisonville School District.

John married his best friend Shirley Jones and to this union(5) children were born. John loved playing his trombone which he played over 50 years. He love God, his family and his music, and he was a jokester.

Elder John Baxter departed this life on December 30,2018 in Quincy Florida. He leaves to cherish his memories three sons: David (Heather) Baxter, Scott (Amber) Baxter, Bryant (Melissa) Baxter. One Daughter Sherri (Todd) Sandford. One Sister Linda Pitts. His loving Grandchildren, Great Grand Children, nieces, nephews and a host of other Loving family members and friends. John was preceded in death by his High School Sweetheart Shirley Baxter. One Son Anthony Baxter, two great grandsons, his brother Elder Harold Baxter, his parents and grandparents.
