John is and will be greatly missed by those who knew, respected, cared for and loved him. The world is a lesser place without him in it. Men who still do what they say, and say what they mean, even if it may be hard for those hearing it. He may have been, and was, hard to really get to know, and rough around the edges, but he was genuine. I for one wish there were still more people like him who were more concerned about telling it like it is than whose delicate sensitivities might be offended, while still being willing to help just about anyone as long as they were also willing to try to help themselves.
