John Andrew Aviles was born to Teresa De Leon and Andres Aviles in Monterey Mexico. He moved to Los Angeles California when he was a child. He went to school in Los Angeles and attended ELAC college. In 1970, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corp and served 3 years. During his enlistment he was naturalized in Hawaii. John served in the Vietnam War and was a proud Marine.
