It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. John Anthony Daly, who departed this life on Sunday, May 11, 2025, at St. Michael's Hospital in Toronto, Ontario. John was born in Dublin, Ireland, on July 21, 1942.

He was the devoted partner of Lana Cathcart for over four decades and was predeceased by his first wife, Margaret Daly (née Caswell). John was the loving father of Darlene (Micky) Parr, Kate (Jody) Leitch, Seán (Jeanette) Daly, and Micheal (Robin) Daly. He was the cherished grandfather of Cailina, Michael, Alycia (Alex), Lindsay, Moyra, Fionn, and Calum and great grandfather of Everett and Norah.

John was preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Sid, and his sister, Kathleen. He is survived by his siblings, Séamus (Josie), Annette (the late Joe), Sid, Marie (Gerry), Michael (the late Martha), and Colette (the late Paul).

John is also remembered by his numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews in both Ireland and Canada.

John immigrated to Canada in the mid-1960s and established his home in Toronto, where he remained a resident until his passing.

A celebration of life for John will be held at the Black Swan Tavern, located at 154 Danforth Avenue, Toronto, Ontario, on Friday, May 16th at 3:00 PM. This celebration will follow a private family gathering.
