Background
Many of you saw the go fund me I created several weeks back to try to raise some financial support for my Step up Daddy’s medical care expenses. We have appreciated so much everyone who had helped by donating and that definitely so helped our parents during that time. Now we have crossed over into needing a different kind of financial help for our family.
Allen went to be with Jesus a little after midnight Thursday morning. We are comforted in knowing that he is in the arms of Jesus but are broken hearted over losing such an amazing man! A loving Husband, Dad, Step Dad, and Papa! One moment we are going from fighting a long and exhausting fight to get him better, to transitioning into a several day process of loving and worshiping into the kingdom of Heaven, to now having to deal with losing him. And anyone who’s ever lost a loved one knows how loaded that is. There’s extreme loss and sadness, exhaustion, planning and preparation, so many practical things, and so many expenses. We have been so thankful for all the love and support we have received during this process. It’s been heartwarming to see how loved Allen was and the impact he had on so many and also to see how loved our family is. I have always thought how sad and frustrating it is to have to worry about expenses when you’re trying to grieve a great loss. And we are grieving a great loss while at the same time, having to do all of the things and pay for all of the things that come after the loss.
We greatly appreciate any financial donations towards burial and celebration of life expenses as well as all of the expenses being incurred during the planning and preparations and grieving process. Many of us have had lost wages during this process. We have a large and beautiful family so feeding everyone is a lot! 😂 Also, the cost of everything, including end of life services have increased so much recently. And, the love of Allen’s life, his beautiful wife, who he had the hardest time letting go of in order to go be with Jesus, is left with so many expenses . So any financial help towards all of these things would be greatly appreciated.
We are having a small graveside service for immediate family only this coming week and will be having a big celebration of life for Allen on November 11th. We want to honor him and celebrate his life with everyone who loved him and whose lives were impacted by his! There will be more details to follow for the celebration of life!
