William Hagar
1958, Kimball Union Academy, Campus Center Drive, Meriden, NH, USA
There were four of us residing in Chellis Basement that year, close quarters for sure. We were all sophomore first year students finding our way in a strange new world together, and became quite close in ways that lasted forever. One thing that certainly set Chris apart though was that he shaved twice a day (when some of us were still learning how to). I also remember him stating he would never need long underwear, as he already had some of his own.
I had a wonderful visit with Chris and Margaret, they were such gracious hosts. Chris took me for a tour of the hospital, another day he gave me a boat ride with many factual things including the duck blind. I so enjoyed their company, knitting and sewing with Margaret. I loved the stories about their family and how proud they were of them and the love that flowed from them. He and they will be sorely missed but never forgotten

So many memories of our times with Chris. He taught our 3 kids to water ski, took them fishing, and to the Essex county fair. He taught Judy magic tricks which she used with her young hearing impaired students. And he was a good and loyal friend to Peter for over 38 years. He will be sorely missed.

The Flaherty Family

Chris was much beloved and admired amongst his UVM Anesthesiology family.  While sorely missing him, we take comfort in knowing that his love and passion for patient care lives on in each of us, particularly when we are caring for a vulnerable child.  That is his priceless gift and incredible legacy.

Chris was a very special person. We remember so many wonderful and happy times we spent together eg camp, Las Vegas, Melanie’s wedding, Rottnest Island, New York & Boston; all treasured holidays with our two families. Love and miss you, forever Katie & John
Fly high with Angels, prayers are surrounding your family💕

So sad to learn of Chris’s passing. I grew up with Chris and his brothers in S. Burlington and S. Hero. Playing in their backyard and waterskiing on the Lake. Wonderful Man and doctor.  I will sorry miss him.

All my condolences,

Darwin Kuhlmann
