Joey Wayne Surface, 47, of Princeton, WV, passed away Monday, July 19, 2021 of natural causes. He lost his battle with a series of cardiovascular diseases. Born March 12, 1974 in Princeton WV, he was the son of Yvonne Boyer Barnette and the late Roger Wayne Surface. Joey was a loving father, son and brother. His smile was infectious. He always had a way to add humor in every situation. He enjoyed being with his family, his in-laws and especially loved fast cars, WVU football and motorcycles. Joey worked as a heavy machinery operator.  In addition to his father, Joey was preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife, Tabby England and a sister, Cathy Ellison.

Those left to cherish Joey’s memory are his mother, Yvonne Boyer Barnette of Green Valley, WV; son, Tyler Wayne Surface of Shady Springs, WV; daughter, Sommer Rayne Surface of Shady Springs, WV; sister Pamela DeSimone and her husband Joey DeSimone of Cornelius, NC; and a brother, Duane Surface of Sinks Grove, WV.

In keeping with Joey’s wishes, he will be cremated and there will be no public services.
