We will miss your smile, your witty stories, your sly ice breakers to make us laugh, your amorous way of making everyone welcome, and your sincerity. We will miss your jokes, your water gun fights, teasing us to make us feel like one of your siblings, and your ethics in life's adventure. You have inspired us to be considerate of others no matter what problems we may have to face. As your Colorado family tells the tale of our memories of you, we will always say "Yee Yee!" when your name is spoken as a contribution to your legacy.

Every time I sleep, I dream of you, Joey.  We brought each other so much joy, and that's the only solace I have in this terrible tragedy. That we'd found each other again and you knew how much I loved you. You introduced me to all of your friends and neighbors in Rincon, because we video chatted almost all day, every day and if not on video, at least on the phone. I couldn't wait to come see you in January... We had so many plans! I love you so much and I miss you so much it hurts so so bad. But I'm so grateful we had connected again and we got to have the time together that we did, and that we both knew how much we loved each other. And that i was ready to come down there and be with you not just in January but also once my lease ran out starting in August... before you passed away and joined the Angels. I miss you so much it hurts. I know everyone that loves you feels that way. Your voice every morning when I first woke up was something I was and will always be grateful for every day. Thank you for sharing your life in Paradise with me ❤️. I'll never forget you teaching me how to say "Yee Yee!" ,tatted on your finger properly, and laughing when I sounded ridiculous trying to the first couple times! I love you and I always will baby. Thank you for being the most loving, sweet, caring, and ambitious Man I've literally ever known. I know you're watching down on all of us and I dream about you every night and I hope that doesn't stop. I love you Joey Dangler. Thank you for loving me too. I know we'll meet again, and I can't wait until we do. Enjoy Paradise above my love 🙏🏼. Always and forever mi Amore, Shanté💚💚💚

We knew Joey as a neighbor and my son's baby sitter. Lived across the street to see him from a young boy to a tall adult. Always had a smike on his face.Very sad to hear about his passing.
