Joel aka Speedy. My heart's breaking right now so I'll remember the good times with you as a Shores Spartan. That big smile when you scored a touchdown, the way you ran throughthe line, laughing as you breezed past defenders - you were a big punch wrapped in a small package. And I'm gonna miss ya. Rest in peace young man. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾❤️❤️❤️❤️

My sincere and deepest condolences to Joel's family and friends. I first met Joel when he became one of our students at a local high school in North Miami Beach and we would often joke about video games and sports, all while trying to stay on task and help him finish his work. He was a very bright you g man with a big smile and an even bigger heart. I remember we first met in the classroom when he heard me talking about Fortnite. I helped him with his classwork and even played some UNO with him too. We had countless pep talks in and outside of school. When I left the school, Joel was one of the main students that I wanted the best things in life to happen to. He was funny, out going, intelligent, social and full of life. I will miss him so much that it does hurt. I wish there was something more I could’ve done for Joel. He’s with the Lord almighty now and I know he’s in peace. Mr. Diaz will always love you, little man. Gone way too soon. Rest in peace.
