We met Joel and Barbara on a regent cruise and found them both great people. We kept in touch and in fact went to see Joel in London when he was on an Azamara cruise after losing his wonderful Barbara. Sorry only now finding out about his passing  whilst searching the web when no response to one of our regular emails. Condolences to the family and thanks that we did meet them in the first place

As you well know Marc our families were very close and even knew my father who passed in 1975.  Barbara picked me up from school sick on several occasions as my mom worked and was so helpful to me finding work post college graduation.  The many parties we attended at your home on Winnetka were fun times indeed and I recall Joel’s dry wit.  It wasn’t until I was older that I realized he wasn’t always that serious!!.  Joel will be missed.  Love to you and your family.  Matt Grubman

Ohh Marc! I’m soo sorry. What a great picture! You look a lot like him.  What a handsome man. I’m so sorry for your loss. How fortuitous it was you were able to move him so close to you! God always has a plan. I bet it was a major comfort to him to know you were close by. It must have made him happy.  Much love to you and the family.
