Joe's obituary
Joseph Edwin Proud, 77, of Langley BC passed away on April 15th 2022. Joe was born on September 23, 1944.
He loved cars and racing. He spent many weekends at the racetrack. He was an avid member of META, the Motorsport Emergency and Turnworkers Association. https://meta.bc.ca/wordpress/ for many years. I remember going to the meetings with him as a child. He met many people and made long lasting friendships there.
He endured many health challenges but he always had a positive attitude and a particular sense of humor (hello dad jokes!) When we passed a graveyard, he always exclaimed “People are dying to get in there!” He cared so much for his family and insisted on making sure we got where we needed to go or picked us up safely.
He had a very kind gentle soul and enjoyed helping out charities that benefited children, which is why I chose the Variety Club to donate to in his memory, as he volunteered with them for many years.
He will be missed. I encourage you to please share your memories with Joe here, and donate in his memory.
