Joe's obituary
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Joseph Mott on November 9, 2023. Born on July 19, 1961. Joe lived a full life, deeply cherished by his loved ones.
Joe wed the love of his life, Tina (Riffle) Mott, in 1986, embarking on a beautiful journey of love and companionship. The love for his wife was his most cherished cause, a love so deep that it could be felt by everyone around them. Together, they built a warm and loving home where they welcomed their first child in 1988 and celebrated the arrival of another in 1993.
Joe’s career included Navel architect at Godfrey and RV design at Thor Motor Coach in Elkhart, IN. Joe was a man known for his upbeat and positive personality, always quick to lend a supportive hand where needed. He loved to cook and BBQ for his family and was a fan of Notre Dame Football. He found comfort in his Datsun 280ZX, trains, puttering around the house and yard, and watching the night sky through his telescope.
Papa to five beautiful grandchildren born between 2009 and 2018, Joe found immense joy in his role and spending time with his family, but especially spoiling his grandchildren.
Joe is survived by his wife, Tina Mott, his daughters Stephanie (Mott) Fairres and Danielle (Mott) Cavender, their spouses Jessie Fairres and Maison Cavender. His siblings Tom Mott, Gary Mott, Gretchen (Mott) Kujawa, Cindi (Mott) Potter, and Steve Mott; their spouses, Alicia Mott, Randi (Maes) Mott, Larry Kujawa, and Tina (Griesinger) Mott. His in-laws Donna (Riffle) Robichaud, and Lisa (Riffle) Scutchfield, and a sprawling family of nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother-in-laws Terry Robichaud and Ray Potter, and nephew Ryan Mott.

We take solace in the fact that Joe lived his life on his own terms, leaving a legacy of love and cherished memories with all who knew him. He will be deeply missed.
